Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-04-27 — applies to Pessage iOS, Android, and web clients.

By creating a Pessage account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Pessage.

1. Who can use Pessage

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

If you see content that violates these rules, use the in-app Report action on the message; admins will review and we may remove content or suspend accounts that repeatedly break the rules.

4. Your content, your IP

You keep all rights to the pessages, replies, DMs, attachments, and tasks you upload. By using Pessage you grant us a limited license to host, transmit, back up, and display your content as needed to run the service for you and your project teammates. We don't claim ownership and we won't sell your content.

5. Project memberships and clearance

When a project admin grants or revokes your membership or clearance, that admin is acting under their own authority over the project. Pessage enforces the access control technically (RLS) but doesn't decide who should be on which project.

6. Third-party services

Pessage relies on Supabase (database, auth, storage), Expo (push delivery), and optionally Sentry (crash reports). Using Pessage means accepting that your content transits those providers under their respective terms.

7. Pricing and beta

While Pessage is in pilot, the service is provided free. We'll notify users at least 30 days before any paid tiers go live and never start billing without explicit consent.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but offer no uptime guarantee during pilot. The service is provided "as is" without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of Pessage is capped at the greater of (a) what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$50.

9. Termination

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of San Francisco County, California, unless a consumer protection law gives you the right to a different forum.
